Trim Levels
The 2024 Wrangler line has many trims, each with unique exterior features. The Sport trim comes with 17-inch black steel wheels and a flat side design, and the Sport S adds 17-inch mineral gray wheels and auto headlights. The Willys trim has painted black wheels and an army-style olive green color choice. For a sleeker look, the Sahara has 18-inch machined wheels and body-color fender flares, while the Rubicon prioritizes off-road capabilities with 17-inch machined wheels and tough off-road tires.
The Rubicon X takes things a step further with a unique wheel design and steel bumpers, and the Rubicon 392 offers peak power, with bronze touches and a unique hood with an air scoop. The top-of-range Rubicon 392 Final Edition includes LED fog lights and 17-inch bronze beadlock wheels.
Engine
The 2024 Wrangler has a range of engines for different needs. The basic 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine delivers 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while the optional 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine offers more efficient gas use, providing 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. At the top of the range, the Rubicon 392 has a 6.4-liter V-8 engine offering a hefty 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. Some models can tow up to 5,000 pounds when set up right.
Performance
The 2024 Wrangler performs well on and off the road. All Rubicon models now have a rigid full-float Dana rear axle as standard, and a WARN winch that can pull 8,000 pounds is an optional extra with Rubicon trims. The Wrangler maintains its Trail Rated badge, with various 4x4 systems, and can traverse through up to 30 inches of water. Rubicon models have a front sway bar that can disconnect and a Rock-Trac 4x4 system with a 4:1 low-range gear ratio, and some models include the Selec-Trac full-time 4x4 system for better on-road use. The Rubicon trims' Tru-Lok electronic locking differentials provide extra grip on more challenging terrains.
Interior
Inside the 2024 Wrangler, comfort and tech are key. Some models have 12-way power seats for the driver and front passenger for added comfort on long drives. The new 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen system offers better connection and entertainment options, and off-road enthusiasts will appreciate the Uconnect 5 NAV system with trail maps and adventure guides.
The interior has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, along with heated front seats and steering wheel on some trims. The vehicle is built with practicality in mind, with an easy-to-clean interior, removable carpet, and drain plugs, and the back seats can split 60/40 for more cargo space. An Alpine premium sound system is an optional extra for music lovers, while features such as Keyless Enter 'n Go and push-button start are standard with many trims.
Safety Features
The 2024 Wrangler puts safety first with new standard side curtains and advanced front airbags, and a ParkView rear backup camera makes parking much easier. Driver-support features include blind spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision warning with active brakes.
